A stunning mid-18th-century large oak Welsh dresser base cupboard. It features a well-figured oak molded top above three frieze drawers, with an arrangement of two central false drawers flanked by paneled cupboard doors opening to reveal shelves. The dresser has molded drawer fronts and fielded ogee pointed arch door panels with molded surrounds. It has flat oak paneled sides, oak drawer linings, brass swan neck handles, and back and floor boards. The piece is raised on original stile feet and retains exceptional, untouched color and patina throughout. North Wales, circa 1760.
